Thought I had plenty of fuel for the ride, but when I checked I only had 15 miles left. But filled up now so all good for next weekend.

Also set the route out for the Tom Tom. We'll have a 1h 15 min ride.

If anyone wants the sat nav files, let me know.

Next year, perhaps. :)
We could have Northern Contingent bimble down for few days next year. It's nearer the equator so it'll be hot and sunny won't it 😎

As long as you lot don't bring your weather down with you.

It's been lovely all September here until today.

That sounds like a plan, Steve.
I'm up for it.

As for the weather: yes, it bucketed down this morning but the pavements are dry now, the temperature in my yard is 25℃ and the sky is largely blue.
There's even plenty of petrol in the filling-stations. :)

As usual we had around 90 mins of rain and then the sun came out. Nothing like it was forecast. Even the temperature drop didn't happen. A reasonable 18.1c outside in the shade.

I filled up the day before panic ensued. I’ll resist the urge to ride out before Sunday so I’ve still got a full tank. Knowing the Sunshine Coast it’ll be 20c and sunny icon_wink-.gif sun.gif

I have 120 miles in the tank. The ride from Colchester to Walton is 35 miles.

130 round trip for me if I went direct to Whites and my tank is 5 miles into reserve, there are people queuing for hours to get fuel here according to the local FB group.
