Forza V J300

Seeing a lot of bargains on nearly new J300's (yes I know it's a Kymco). I always liked the look of them. 2020 for £3500ish sounds pretty good? Or is the 350 Forza a different league? The downside - the ridiculous service intervals, 3000 miles.

Never ridden 300 kymco one but heard a bit short in the legroom department .

I had J300SE for 3 years and now have a Forza 300 (2019).
The Forza has less power, more mpg, longer service intervals and a slightly more spacious seating position. The J300 on the other hand, is way more fun to ride, looks superb and has some nicely thought out improvements over the donor Downtown (my mate had one at the same time as I had the J300).
The head says Forza, but ride it and you'll want the J300. Do the oil changes yourself and it's a foregone conclusion.

I have the J300 and love it.
As I am a leisure only rider I do less than 3000 miles a year so I change the oil & filter myself once a year and the gearbox oil once a year. Both jobs are easy with all the drain plugs & filter easily accessible. I have a few extras on mine Kawasaki tall screen ( it's a Givi), Kawasaki sat nav bracket, R & G mirror extenders, Givi top box and a few other bits ( extra mudflap, Rad Guard) etc. I find it a great bike for days out exploring and will often choose it in preference to my bigger bike, although I love that as well...!
If you can save £2k over a Forza I would give it some serious thought.....
(I am 6'2" by the way and don't have any legroom issues, but I do have to get off every hour at least for a wee & a coffee, so maybe I don't notice.....

)
My missus regularly comes pillion & finds it more comfy than the bike.....

I found the Downtown 300 great to ride ( i.e. faster than expected with good brakes too) and easy to service. It so happened that when I looked at the Honda I ran into a very unhelpful dealer and from static evaluation I didn't think the underseat storage was good enough. My usual experience of Hondas, both two and four wheel, has been that they are reliable but a bit dull when it comes to driving and riding. I think the comments from J300 riders reflects this.

Thanks very much for the input guys! Seems like they get a good report card. I've got an indy mechanic (retired) who works on my GS and V7 and he can do the servicing. Cheers

My plan is a 300 with abs for £2500 next year only leisure use and to take in my van .Kymco/ J300 is on list plus old style forza or a Sym .

A few more comments about the Forza 350 then, before you decide...

If you're going to use it for all-weather commuting -
Bigger, adjustable screen.
Honda build quality.
Quality Pirelli tyres as standard.
Stainless steel exhaust...
and
Dealer only a mile away.
Your choice, of course!
