They reckon we can get up to 900 thingies if we don't mind big bucks for it. Bit of a change from BT's current 28 and it was only 4 when we moved here 6 years ago!
Virgin are incompetently trying to sell me their new 1Gigawotsits service, though their current 100Megawotsits service is fine speed wise. I remember that when I first signed with them in 1998, I was excited to receive a speedy 128K service - twice as fast as the phone modems that were generally in service at that time! Didn't actually notice any problem with the 128K service speed either!

I did have the Virginmedia 200 giga thingies, which was fabulous! But actually slightly under utilised in our house at the time. I down graded to the 108mbit package and saved loads of money. It's just fine and we have 8 devices connected most of the time. No speed problems and it's super reliable. They are now about to offer 350mbit packages but I don't currently need that. You lot up north are more advanced in many areas regarding VM broadband Grumpy.

And will it only cost £20 a month for 400 mega thingies? (for the first 18months, anyway)

Interestingly, scientist's have announced that they have yet again made a major breakthrough in ev battery technology.
The batteries are the new Lithium Sulfur type. These have huge energy density giving three times the range of lithium-ion. Take a look here: https://www.independent.co.uk/tech/batt ... 15456.html

This is interesting. The trade already has come to this realisation...but this study reveals hydrogen fuel cells aren't likely to be realistic or catch up with ev battery technology.

Test rode one today ! Loved it ! Roomy quick enough and fun . Not s quick as my Evo . Top speed limited to 81 mph so not bad . Beautifully made , quality especially the side storage compartment Big TFT screen modes etc
All good . They are going to give me a cost tto change for my EVO . Doubt I will do it though as cost will be too high !
