15F2 carburator choke needed.

I Have been searching for days trying to buy an electric choke for the Keihin 15F2 carb' .
The old one just gets warm and doesn't move, stuck at 32mm from base to tip.
The Artic Cat one looks about the same.
25.4 for the brass bit and it looks like 6 or 7mm between that and the base so it should work.
Strange I can buy a new carb' but not a choke.
I Hope this will cure my starting problem.

Anyone know if there is a 15F2 choke available, ( at a sensible price).

To be honest most of us don't understand what you are talking about! Better to tell us what bike this carb is on including year of manufacturer. I have loads of carbs in my garage but no Keihin.

Burgman AN400X 1999. UK reg.
Carburator is a Keihin 15F2.
Choke has a body about 20 mm and is extended at 32mm from base to tip.

Ah yes. Long time ago that I worked on carbed Burgmans. I think it will be a problem trying to find a good carb or choke unless you buy new. I think they are still available. Good luck with the hunt. If I hear of anything going I'll let you know. ;)

I keep forget how bloody old I really am. Injectors are new to me. Wal Philips fuel injector I was very up on and was the first to use one racing in 1969 on a Lambretta siidecar. Seems someone is making a steel version , what come around.

I found my trusty carb' cleaning kit and will give it a good going over plus a sonic clean.
I am sure the Arctic cat choke will fit, just need to double check the dimensions.

1st fully faired unit, first injected racing Lambretta, and one of 1st three kneelers made for racing. 1st in coloured leathers, Happy 60's. racing on a shoe string.

I can remember seeing adverts for the Wal Philips fuel injector but it just seemed like rocket science to me. In fact at first the Lambretta was like rocket science. I used to go to school on my sx 200 and my biggest problem was the gear selector bar keep jumping off, I tried to hold it on with wire. Took me a few months to discover what a circlip was.

There is nothing new in automotive engineering.

Choke problem resolved, the original one is working fine now after a good clean, seems crap was stuck between the case and the moving part.

But it never rains but pours. Now I have a jam, I was starting it fine, ran it for a few seconds, killed it and when I turned it over again it jammed before it fired and when I turned it back on the crank it was free abut will not pass TDC so something gone and needs the head off, again.
