Hi there just taken the thought to a reality and have purchased my first scooter, 2019 forza300, last bike was a vesys 650, overall quite happy and after 120mls today on argylls finest roads between lochgilphead Inveraray and oban at mostly legal speeds (had to overtake a couple of eejits) I was avg 82.2mpg according to the computer.
My only gripe so far which is maybe another topic is being a shortish arse is the height of the scooter..... any pointers or suggestions welcome and hello to everyone, cheers

Welcome! With modern scooters it's not so much the height as the width... Luckily they're so well-balanced that they can be ridden feet-up at walking pace - and when you do stop it doesn't need much foot pressure to keep them upright.
And unlike modern motorcycles, they do have mudguards and centre stands!

Yes, I'm not too tall either so I tend to shuffle forward on the seat before coming to rest and then shuffle back again once underway. I miss the days of when most had flat floors and curry hooks too.
