Thanks, Data. It's encouraging to hear that my reports, although a bit 'domestic', have some interest for scootering friends.
I have another weekend away very soon - a round trip of 600 miles - so will report back when I've recovered.
The pattern is the same: set off and ride to a hotel in which to spend the night, breaking the journey, and complete the outward leg the next day.
Coming back is the same except different hotel and slightly different route.
I've set myself a ride of 200 miles on the first day in order to arrive at my destination by midday on the next. I shall have two breaks to stretch my legs and all that.
