Hi, here I am again, I'm in the middle of changing the Screen on my 2005 Burgman AN400-K5, ( another bike fell on it a couple of years ago, broke the Burger's screen and I sort of, mended it.
Now, at last, I've got around to fitting the replacement, no problem, except, where should I go for the rubber "Wellnuts" that fix the screen in place? The OE Suzuki ones are really stupid money. and the old ones can't be re-used.
Thanks, Robin.

Various adverts on Ebay & Amazon.

Thanks, I've tried that route, ended up with some poor things from ebay that didn't work (the brass inserts just turned with the screws) Found some on Amazon that might work, will report back.

The Amazon ones didn't work either, they seem to be made from squidgy natural rubber and the metal inserts did not really cause the neccessary deformation, (tightened up, they just pulled out) I think the correct material is neoprene "rubber", still searching!

I had this with a previous scooter, in the end I fabricated my own solution which was to cut rubber washers from bits of old car mats, quite large, then put a bolt through and a metal washer. The metal washer pressed against the rubber and held the screen in place. It worked ( for me) far better than the original......

I used the ebay route, since the local Suzuki dealer wanted nearly a tenner apiece for OEM ones as I recall!

Well, job done, but I got fed up messing around with dodgy Rubber Nuts that don't really grip well, maybe that helps explain why the genuine Suzuki ones are so expensive, anyway, I tried a bit of "lateral thinking" and used Nylon Plasterboard "SpeedPlugs"(the spiral things), self tappers and home made rubber anti-vibe inserts, seems to have worked fine and cheaply.
Thanks for the suggestions.
