Anyone going to MotorCycle Live 2022?

Post by Data »

Well, are you?

Hoping I will have recovered enough to go but if I can go, I'll go by car this year. For me I see it as a bit of sunshine in an otherwise gloomy world right now.

Let me know your thoughts and if you think you might go. ;)

PS. It's 19th - 27th Nov
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

At £27 admission + £10 parking I am afraid not.

Can't help thinking £37 would give me more enjoyment spent on petrol, than looking at a whole load of stuff I can't afford. Perish the thought I might have to talk to people  . It's one of those things I often think of going to but when push comes to shove I can't be arsed.

If it was nearer I might pop in, but for me it'd cost a fortune to get there, takes hours, costs a fortune to get in & park, and of course food & drink there is extorniate and crap.

I'll certainly agree the cost is getting heavier. However, that doesn't bother me very much. The way I go it's a 379 mile round trip & on the Vespa GTS (which I seem to use every other year) the parking is free. But for me it's a good day out. I haven't been to the show since before lock down. The food these days is pretty good and the cost isn't too bad but of course depends which restaurant you use. I'm usually there from 10am until closing time at around 5pm. It's quite a good place to meet fellow Muppets too! I've also run into several ex-colleagues whom I trained as apprentice technicians years ago & are now working for bike manufacturers. Small world eh!

I will go if we hold onto the good weather that global warming may bring us.

Skipping this year, for various reasons.

Hope to be back next year, as it's a good day out with my Son, who lives much closer to it than me.

8-)

Interest has diminished as age and the cost has increased...I have somehow arrived at the right set of bikes (for me!) and nothing much modern appeals, so it's a long and expensive day out for not very much.

Well I've never missed a year (except for covid of course) for as long as I can remember. Even with online discount it's still £34 with car parking, (disabled mate). We've decided to go but take a packed lunch this time, I bought food there last year but I'm only taking 70 quid this time!
Not in the market for a bike or gear but I do enjoy the feeling of being a kid in a sweet shop 😉
