Blimey . Went to my dealer to order a new T Max Tech Max . He had 2 23 plate in Power grey on the floor both sold . Next batch are due in June / July and will be £13800 ! Current price £12700 . Jeeeeez . I had arranged for WBAB.com to pick up my GSA 1250 to fund a new T Max . That didn’t happen for various reasons . Decided to keep the GSA , I still have the C evolution BMW electric scoot , so most situations covered . Near 14 grand for a T Max …….. I need to see a therapist. Is it mad or am I unrealistic ?

Another reason why I won't be buying a brand new Tmax (apart from not having any dealers)! It seems that even 'bargain' bikes are £10k these days, so a premium product like the Tmax is going to be pricey. I wish they'd sell the base models in the UK rather than the top spec DX - it'd be cheaper and I could live without all the expensive unreliable tech, though the electric screen would be nice!!

Comes down to what you think is reasonable price wise. I'd never pay that for a T-max, but others will. I agree with Grumpy that the base model would be nice to have & might result in more sales. Reliability isn't great on the T-max but when they are going, they go good.

Some mug has to buy these expensive bikes. Otherwise we can't buy them second hand.

Just pricing up a Nmax 155, €4799 out of a dealer in Holland.
Regarding the Tmax, you can buy two Xmax300s for basically the same money.
Where will prices be in 12 months?

The price is bonkers,i agree, nice machine though,i liked mine and i like my current ride, the Forza 750……which i shall probably be replacing next year, not sure what to replace it with,i was toying with the idea of another Tmax, but I don’t do any where near the milage i used to do a few years back,so can not really warrant laying out over 13 grand, come to think of it a new Forza 750 is going to be over 11 grand next year……

I've still got your old Mk3 Robbo, its coming up for 50K on the odometer and I can't see me changing it any time soon.
When HP or a personal loan was the only way to get stuff on credit, prices were acceptable. Once the PCP game started, prices got silly almost overnight. You can blame all the folk that buy on PCP schemes for the increased prices of vehicles.
I changed my 2008 R1200GSA last year for a two year old model R1250GSA and now in hindsight I wish I had just kept my old bike and the cash, it is so overpriced for what it is. I paid £14k plus my old bike with luggage and still had to buy new hard luggage for another £1k and I am tied into expensive dealer servicing whilst the warranty runs.
For those of us that prefer to buy with our hard-earned savings, the days of a good deal are now hard to find.
