Essex…..

I’ve a confession to make. Today, in a moment of madness, myself and Mr, Grey (my Forza) took it upon ourselves to enter Essex from the safety of Suffolk for a sandwich by the river in Manningtree. At no time was I offered drugs and no organised crime gang approached me for protection money so the trip went well. I returned safely. Has Essex gone soft?

As long as you don't go south of the A13, you're generally OK. Harlow being the exception, of course
EDIT - actually, probably best to stay north and west of the A12 too. Just to be safe.

Well....I'm visiting Essex next week (family visit), AND going south of the A13!
I did grow up there, but the more I visit, the more I hate going there!

Ahem! Steve...I don't recall getting asked for a VISA to enter Essex! I know we have to contact you for a VISA to enter Felixstowe or generally anywhere is Suffolk. This may be a serious incursion...

I regularly cross over the border (from Cambs) and get offered coffee for over £3.50! But that is Saffron Walden

It was roast chicken and stuffing. A Morrisons special. A bloody swan took a liking to it so I had to bolt it down rapidly

Yes I was aware of that Ian, that’s why I posted after my visit

I hope he paid the toll at the Manningtree level crossing too.
