Oh pants! My Forza has done 15K already.... Don't think I'll be bothering the local Honda dealer at that price, especially as the steering head bearings are shot and the front brake is a bit juddery too. Overall I've found owning the Forza (my first bike from new) a bit disappointing. Not up to the usual Honda quality in many ways.

Think I'll be finding a local specialist. Especially since my nearest main dealer no longer allows 'old' people to have a loan bike.

I did all the service listed items myself on my recent 300 Forza 8k service that were within my capabilities (ie most of them), and counted the MOT as a safety inspection - which it is. I spoke to the tester and asked about the brake pad thickness ( I can't get a good look at them) he said they were not worn at all - so that was the 8k service done. For the full main dealer 16k service it would cost close to £1000 incl belt, rollers, valve check, brake fluid and coolant replacement You can see why a lot of scooters/ bikes are sold prior to needing a big service.

In many ways I guess that isn't too bad, though there are good aspects and bad aspects. A £45 V-belt every 18k miles compares very well to a £170 one every 12k miles on the Tmax, but having what seems to be a several hundred quid valve clearance check every 18k miles seems like bad news! On the Tmax its every 24k miles (and there are twice as many valves to check!).

I'll not be using Honda once the warranty ends in April 2025. The requirement for a annual service AND a 8000 mile service confuses me. If say I hit 8000 miles in say March, do I need another in April when it's another year passed.

No Mottza, if you have an 8000 mile service in March 2025, you would not need another in April 2025, one month later. The service intervals are 8000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. The next service would be at 16000 miles or March 2026, whichever comes first.
Do you still have the ADV 350? If so, do you know if it any more spacious than the Forza 350. I think I will be keeping my 300 Forza for another "season" and may then part ex it, and am considering the ADV 350.

Veloci, be aware that the handlebar width is much wider on the ADV 350 than the Forza. That may have a bearing on your comfort. That was the main reason I chose the Forza over the ADV last summer.

Thanks Capt R. Apart from the handlebars being wider on the ADV 350, they look a bit higher than on the Forza, which may give me more leg room ( 6'2"). I've managed on the Forza - in my 3rd year with it now, but a little extra room wouldn't go amiss. I'll have to have a sit on one when I decide to change, I've got another 8k miles before the big service at 16K, so the Forza will do me for this year at least.

The ADV350 has higher seat height compared to the Forza.
