Please forgive me if this has already been covered but I'm new here. Can anyone tell me (and I'm sorry for such a dumb question) if my odometer is reading 9479km or 947.9.km and is it possible to change it to miles?

Hello Wb and as a very new member I can nonetheless say "welcome".
When you ride your Sym the final odo digit will change very quickly if it is showing tenths of a km but of course much more slowly if it is 1 km at a time: at 60kph it will take a minute to rise by 1. How to change it? No idea sadly.

Hello Whitebear and welcome. I suspect you'll just have to do the maths. It's easy enough to watch your speed with the options on the dial, but AFAIK the odometer is fixed on Km. Probably because most of their markets use KM. That said, Hang on for an actual Sym owner to happen by!

Hi and welcome.
Assuming this is the manual for your bike, then the odometer is in full km, the trip is in decimal, and it can't be changed to miles:

I'm afraid that the Joymax units are fixed at Kilometres and can't be changed, at least that's true of my 125 which is the 300's close relation. I imagine the 300 is a very useful machine which I would have probably bought if I could have justified owning another fast two wheeler. I find the 125 is quite a nippy town runabout though.
The units are a nuisance but I do like the ability to show battery voltage and the third odometer setting dedicated to oil change distance.
