Hello from Orkney

Hi Folks,
Been riding for many decades and had 35 years and over 100,000 miles of GoldWings. Bought a new 350 Forza in May '23 and now have just over 8,000 miles on it - it's brilliant! I fitted Honda heated grips (OK but not that hot), an MRA Xcreen flip extender, a parking brake and a phone holder in the centre. I opted for the smaller top box rather than the full electric version - didn't want all eggs in one basket! Oh, and a very necessary rear hugger!
I led a 3000 mile tour of Germany and Austria last May with 2 couples from Orkney - I was one up, they were on a Yam FJ1300 and Harley FatBoy and the little Forza didn't disgrace itself and returned 92 mpg (on the display)
Not sure if i'm allowed to put a link to my web site with that story? I'm sure moderators will confirm.
Best regards to all,
Ian

Welcome to the forum Orcadian. I for one, would be very interested to read about your Germany and Austria tour on your Forza.

Many thanks for the welcome, I tried putting my website address in my profile but it came up with 'enter URL' which I had done. Rather than post a link to the web page and risk being banned if that's a no-no, perhaps you could PM me and I'll provide the link?

Hello and welcome from me, too!
Which of the extenders did you buy; there are five on the page: Sport, Tourer and A, B and C.

Hi,
Not sure which one I ended up with - think it was the touring version but I'll nip out and take a pic later and I might even have box it came in! I didn't fit the 'dog bones' just the standard unit. I also made some side extenders - only clamped on in case they didn't work.

Yes, mine is the Touring version but only 130mm tall, not the 160mm version (perhaps that's an older model?)
Anyway, it does the job well.
The top plate on the parking brake is home made - without that, the one supplied gradually rotates and lets off the brake. The quadlock phone mount is on my own home made bracket

Welcome from yet another Forza 350 owner. They seem to be really popular. I can see why!

Thanks folks for the warm welcome, hope we get many more smiles in the coming year. As I said in my intro, it didn't disgrace itself on our big trip and I'm looking forward (even at 75!) to more adventures with it. Living in Orkney there are some great trips down through the Highlands to be had and I still fancy another Continental trip before it's too late. As Christine doesn't go on tour on the bike anymore, the 1500 'Wing was a bit of an unnecessary luxury and the 350 Forza more than fits the bill these days. I have other bikes too - 350, 400 and 550 Fours from the 70's plus others but the Scoot is more than adequate for what I need.
