I have seen them before,not sure I would still be able to have my barkbusters on,i have one of them lite loks X3’s,bit expensive but pretty tough for a would thief to hack through with his cordless angle grinder,

Absolutely fine for France and very neat and tidy, but I'm afraid our UK scum would simply cut the bar end off. It's the same issue as disc locks, they now cut the disc. You don't need an MOT ready bike for hanging about with your "Roadman" scum mates on their Saurons 😕

D-Lock or chain now required here and needs to go through something that will actually stop it rolling, so wheel and shock or street furniture.

Andym, yes it’s not the toughest thing in the world, it’s more of a deterrent than serious security

Thankfully over here there is a lot less bike theft, at least outside of the major cities, I don’t even carry a lock on my GS or any other bikes and I’ve never had a problem in over 25 years here

Useful as a layer of security in conjunction with other locks, chains etc. One more thing they have to get through. But not on it's own.
