Does it really need spark plugs?
Due to the high costs of main dealer servicing I've decided to forego the extended warranty and do my own work on the 400 from now on. It's a 2022 bike, pre registered and bought it in 2023 as new. It's hardly been used with only 1300 miles on the clock. I've just changed the oil, final drive oil, brake fluid, brakes cleaned, general checkover including air filter which is clean. The dealer wanted to replace the spark plugs to comply with warranty, seems crazy to me, especially as I believe they are irridium, does anyone think they really need doing at this age and mileage?

Take it out and have a look.
Emissions controls have produced some odd solutions/specs. Some plugs are black with worn electrodes, some look barely used. You can view, asses, put it back if it's fine.

Evening. Are you the Andy from the NC750 forum? If so then I rather enjoyed some of your ramblings over recent years. I ended up selling mine a few months ago, went back to an FJR1300 with an auto clutch, due to having a knackered left foot. The wife was struggling on the back of the Honda.
As for the Suzi, yes I think I'll do that, looks simple enough to get to, twin plugs on these new heads now apparently.

Yes, that's me. Glad if anything entertains.
Pop back over there, it's often worth ten minutes and most are ex-owners. NC's seem to lack that buzz to keep people interested, but most of the owners are OK. That said it's having a minor melt down ATM because two are being primadonna's, but that's the interweb for you.
What's access like on the Suzuki. The Forza surprised me. When you start by taking the footboards rubber off I'm thinking it's like having a filling done via your bum hole, but it was actually pretty easy/ sensible.

Re: Does it really need spark plugs?
Apart from the oil filter, airfilter and plugs, access is terrible. Not looking forward to the coolant change next year as there's a stupid amount of plastic to remove. I previously had an SH300, that was far far easier to work on.
I did have a good look at the Forza before settling on the Burman. It just came down to my long legs fitting the Burg better. Also found the Bluetooth thingy on the left bar caught my leg every time I turned left, looks like they redesigned it since then.
Happy enough with the Suzook, it does the job.
