Hi everyone.
Can anyone help me please i am so new to this site and also mopeds too.
I purchased a honda fes 125 s-wing pantheon and the issue is that I cannot get it to start.
We have a new battery installed and a new starter motor too.
All the 10amp fuses are all fine and checked. The 30amp fuse on the starter relay is fine too.
I have checked the starter motor by jumping the leads on the starter relay works well.
What i ahve also noticed is that if i was to place a lead on the negative on the battery that has a bulb on it and then the other end is connected to the starter motor positive. When i try to start the bike i get no voltage at the starter motor.
Can anyone help me on this issue please?
Thank you

Hello.
Have you checked that the side-stand is up and that the red kill-switch is in the correct position?

The kill switch may not be red but it will be located on the right hand switchgear of the handlebar. Perhaps you have a model year which doesn't have one but you don't say which year your is. A 2005 will have one. Also, presumably you know to engage the brakes to allow starting?

UPDATE....
Today i managed to get the starter motor running. The engine turns with ease.
The latest issue is that the engine does not start.
I have checked the fuel and that is okay.
I have checked the spark plug and that looks good and no issues.
I have checked the spark.... now, i think the spark looks weak so i have ordered a new ignition coil lead etc.
Also, i noticed that the injector was squirting out fuel but not that much. It was a very fine light mist and nothing substantial as i thought it would be.
I tried spraying 'easy start' spray in to the carb but no results.
So, would i be right in thinking that the issue could be with the spark / ignition coil etc?
Thank you for your help.

Even a weak spark should fire a few times when using Easystart but it sounds like it is not firing at all. This could be because there is no compression or it could be because no air is passing through the engine. Probably worth checking valve clearances and confirming that valve operation is normal. Also make sure neither intake or exhaust is blocked.
Also you can crudely check for compression with spark plug removed by turning the engine over with either your thumb or a suitable wooden object attempting to block the spark plug hole. It should be almost impossible to completely prevent compression pressure overcoming hand pressure.
To test the spark strength disconnect the HT lead at an convenient point ( coil or plug cap end ) and create a gap of at least 1mm. The spark should jump this gap and if you can do that with the plug in situ it can help the engine to fire if flooded. Regarding the injector spray don't expect a large volume of fuel but you should be able to feel pressure in the fuel line as you switch on and the fuel pump operates. However if the Easystart is getting no response whatsoever fuel delivery isn't likely to be the problem.

UPDATE
I have replaced the ignition coil with a new coil and also replaced the spark plug too.
Once again, i cannot get the moped to start. I checked the compression by removing the spark plug and then placing my finger over the hole to feel the presure.
I dont think the compression is an issue as the force of air was strong when i did the compression test.
I checked to see if my moped had an immobilsor and it does not.
What else can i be looking for to get the engine started?
Thank you

Have a look at the sidestand switch. It should be easy to take off and you can spray it with WD40. If in doubt, look at some videos. The switch should be the same as other Hondas, the PCX for example.

Remove the silencer and try again with Easystart. If it doesn't fire feel and smell what is coming out of the exhaust pipe. Take off air intake connection to the air filter and check for obstructions make sure that the throttle butterfly opens and check choke butterfly if it has one. Once you have proved that air and fuel are being pumped through the engine and you do have a spark at a clean(ish) plug the only thing left is if the spark timing is massively wrong so you should look at where the spark is triggered, if you don't have contact breaker points then most likely a loose alternator rotor ( key sheared off? ).
Do the easiest things first at this stage.

Re: honda fes 125 s-wing pantheon not starting help plz
Thank you for your reply Roadster.
I had the silencer removed before starting the moped. I can see the flap opening as i control the throttle, so i dont think anything is sticking inside.
I have also sprayed easy start in to the engine through where the spark plug is and also through where the intake is too. None of this made any difference at all.
There is a very slight smell of petrol almost like the is not enough fuel going in to the engine. Then when i pull out the fuel injector and start the engine you can see it squirting fuel.
As i am not familiar when this engine / moped could something have been messed up on the timing or is that something else i am over thinking about ?
Thank you
