Heated grips 2026 ADV350

When I had the 350 Forza, I fitted genuine Honda heated grips which were about £300 and the stealers wanted almost the same to fit them. 'Stick 'em in the top box when the bike is delivered' was my Yorkshireman's response. It was quite a simple but slow process to fit them and the grip logo came up on the screen - plug and play really.
I was toying with the idea of fitting a genuine set to the ADV 350 but looking on line it appears far more complicated than on the Forza, with references to connecting to the battery, which wasn't needed on the Forza as there was a socket already provided. Also mentioned removing loads of plastic trims and stuff.
Has anyone done this on a 2025/2026 ADV350 so that it marries up with the TFT display? I ain't paying dealer prices to have them snap lugs off panels.
I don't want aftermarket ones as I liked the genuine Forza setup.

Why not go to heated gloves? Warmer and nothing to fit, the battery ones are excellent. Zero effort to move from bike to bike. Can't be the cause of a dead engine.

Sorry to butt in, but that's a great idea Andy. While I don't need any at present - not even riding in this heatwave - can you recommend any from experience, as I may get some for winter.

Hi folks,
I already have heated gloves - Keis G701 and they are brilliant for shorter journeys - at the moment I have 12volt batteries but apparently there are also 7.2 volt that are compatible but counterintuitively, actually last longer. I was only going to fit grip heaters in case I was on a longer ride, when the gloves might not last long enough. Don't forget, I'm in Orkney where we regularly get 20 degrees - 10 in the morning and 10 in the afternoon - ok, I'll get me coat!

What's these temps you speak of. My weather station peaked at 37.3 but feels like 45c yesterday in Costa del Essex.

Hell (or just like it) 37.3 would be no good for me after living in Orkney for over 20 years. I was out on the ADV today at the cafe near the Churchill Barriers and it was a very comfortable 22 degrees. No need for heated gloves or grips today but I'm planning a few trips later, where the gloves might need heating. I think I'll stick with the excellent Keis gloves and get a couple of spare batteries and maybe a powerbank for recharging. Not sure how safe that would be under the seat or in the top box? All a lot easier (and cheaper) than fitting grips again.

I have old plug in Gerbings. Toasty, but the cables are PITA. I won't replace directly but go to battery.

For the SuperCub I have cheap 39-quid Chinese battery ones. Do 99% of what you need and last 6 plus hours. They recharge in an hour from a battery bank thingy, so camping I can go almost a week in theory, more likely three days if you wore them in camp. I suspect the crash protection is at wet paper bag level, hence when the Gerbings fail or the cables really hack me off I'll go to a decent 7.2 volt pair for motorway use.

Haven't gone hard wired grips for a decade. Maybe for a delivery rider or someone who might get caught out on a late summer evening, but the cost vs performance doesn't fit for me.

Thanks for the replies, as there has been no response from anyone who has fitted the gen Honda grips to the latest ADV, I think the best option will be spare batteries and a charging system - still a bit worried about having my arse on fire from charging lithium ion stuff on the move. Time will tell.

I've had mine 2 years. As with all things Chinese they like to present a moving target to anyone with a complaint.
