I'm picking my Zontes ZT368G up from Ultimate Moto in Boldon on 1st Sept.
Once it's home and I've put the DATATAG on it, I will get some pics up.

I don't spend much time in bike shops these days, but a couple of weeks ago after dropping family off to browse at a charity shop I walked to the bike shop around the corner. Just inside the door was one of these and I liked it instantly, not a big fan of the ADV but for some reason I liked this and it's a bike I might consider one day. What put me off instantly is I knew more about it than the "salesman" and I'd never seen one before. I'd go to a different bike shop as there are a couple of deaalers around here.

I would like to know what the parts situation is like. Hopefully not as bad as Sym...

I've just spent 10 minutes down that Google rabbit hole while my pre-dinner G&T cools and it is not a place that fills me with confidence.

There is no Fowlers. They are popular enough in Europe for Louis Moto to have started thinking about them. You'd assume while the UK dealers are tiny shops of whom many will be clueless, the Spanish ones would be better. No huge joy though, they seem to follow the same pattern. Could be great over-the-counter, could decide to drop the brand if too many people want to buy bits they can't get

I guess Honda, Yamaha etc. are going to play on this. One thought though, just because Fowlers list it, doesn't mean the Honda DC in Ghent will stock it any time soon.

Knife edge decision for me. Honda currently squeaking ahead by the width of the leccy screen and Fowlers website.

Another minor downer. The oil capacity is 1.5 litres of 10W40. This is bog standard Kymco/Sym/Yamaha 300. It shouts to me that the transmission is not upgraded for the extra HP. I don't know if it needs to be. It does explain the service interval.

My local dealer says they have stock of service parts and any other parts needed could be with them in a week.
I think a dealer in Essex ( Clements Moto Ltd ) imports the bikes along with spares.

This dealer is honest enough to report shipping delays on his website, but no mention of spares and closed Friday 5pm to Monday 9 am. It all feels very 1950's, if you voice call and get the hungover office junior instead of the parts manager you'll be less happy. I like to see a picture and click buy now.

Download the manual from their website which is a good sign. Said manual contains some hilarious passages written in Chinglish

" If the faucet lock is not unlocked successfully,it maybe that the handle pins the faucet lock"

"Faucet" seems to be ignition switch.

They need to settle in and get a bit of polish on the support stuff to get me to switch. Too many of their countrymen have piddled on the fried potato snacks of long term support to convince me on say-so alone.

I picked the bike up yesterday and I am well impressed.
The quality is good, engine power is enough for me and the fuel economy is great.
