i started getting a funny noise on the front end of the burgman, this evening. i only hear it as i'm slowing down, and it sounds as though the police helicopter is overhead!
i've had a quick look with the torch, but in the dark its hard to make a judgement. however that plastic plate under the nose cone seems to have a little play in it, could it be that, flapping about?
front end noise?

Re: front end noise?
Is it just a noise or are you getting vibrations as well?

i've become quite philosophical about bike problems now, must be my maturing years.

Re: front end noise?
I think it's the ABS, Mine's doing it, only done 200 miles.
I'm sure I even heard it after shutting the garage door and going indoors.
Some ABS systems have a compressor within the system.
It will go away when I start really using the brakes, at the moment they are extra's.

I am always getting noises from my Burger , the one you will get used too is the hissing sound , apparently thats part & parcel of the bike ,

Re: front end noise?
its funny you should say that Dave. after i had switched off yesterday morning and started to chain her up at work, this wierd shrill noise came from what i thought was the bike, but just assumed that it was the polish lads cleaning the roof of the workshop, they are using a jetwasher and generator. i must admit, i didn't put two and two together on that occurance. plus with you mentioning that you hardly use the brakes, i'm hardly using the brakes too, thanks to that bloody viscious engine braking.
