k8 brake switches

anyone had any problems with these both have gone on my brothers within 2 days of each other is it a known fault or just bad luck?

I've never heard of brake switches failing on a Burgman icon_dunno.gif

yeah front one went thursday after filling up with petrol then yesterday the back one went had to bypass it to start it then ride home with brake light permanently on hes been on to gt motorcycles this morning who didnt seem supprised by it . they reckon 2 days for new ones

did i say 2 days jesus it took the wonderful suzuki over 3 weeks to give go ahead underwarranty and still have only supplied the front switch ........... i told him to buy a piaggio lol

I know of another one where both switches went at the same time, or the owner did not notice the first one going. You get a CHEC sign on the dash if all is not well with the start circuit switches.
You can start the bike by connecting the wires together to get you home.
Mine are sprayed with my own blend of anti rust waxoil .
