Im up for this too, at this price for a weekend away you cant go wrong, my mate colin who came on the muppets ride-out today is also up for it, so come on muppets lets get it booked up, so over the shitty cold winter when you feel depressed, just think "Dunkirk", and a big smile will apear on your face :)

2 things theres not much at Loon plage except for very close to ferry we stop at Premiereclasse St pol sur mer bit further away but you cam walk across to shopping centre for food ect or Resturants its very windy along that coast could be very cold in March .You may be lucky just my advice .Julian

Ok I know your tough and ugly wont be any worse than Cat n Fiddle on a windy day .

Anyway back to Hotel the Premiereclasse at Loon plage is on an island with other hotels very near Norfolkline ferry slip road and freight ferrys not much around there.

Premiereclasse St Pol sur mer is across carpark of a Carrefour Hypermarket with a small shopping mall couple of resturants in mall nearer to Dunkirk town . Julian

IMHO seems like a waste of a day when you could skip Ashford and get across stay in France the night and spend extra day in Eurocrisis land....It's not that far from Ashford to the tunnel....

If you took ferry from Dover to Dunkirk late evening have a meal on ferry Loon plage Premiereclasse is right outside the terminal slip road when you hit the main road just a suggestion .Chunnel is great for speed but if you have had a long run down 2 hrs and a meal on the ferry is a welcome break .Anyway Im sure you have gone into it have a good trip thats the main thing .Julian

+1 The mini-cruise on the ferry is part of the trp for me......and there's somewhere to sit!

In addition, the ferry will almost certainly be cheaper than the Chunnel - not always but usually.
