SH300 ECU Change - now it stalls!

I have never ever suffered the stalling problem that was the reason for the ECU recall, but thought it should be done in case I decide to sell it in the future.
So I took my SH300 in today to have the recall done, a new ECU was fitted and two new keys supplied etc.

On my way back home after having the new ECU fitted, came upto a junction and the scoot stalled...
WTF?
Anyone suffered the problem since having the new ECU fitted?
If it does it again I will be getting onto Honda UK demanding to know what is wrong this time.
You have to come to a complete stop to apply the brakes to restart, and I consider it a massive safety issue if it happens in traffic.

hi there, bloody hell!, ...I would be taking it back now for checks.
mine is booked in for tomorrow.
hope it doesn't get any worse than it is when the new ECU is in there too!...
i have done exactly that with coming to a full stop and brakes when this happens, and its always in the most dangerous of places.
bloody hell honda!.
might have to trade this in/swap for a different machine if it carries on.

You can't escape the suspicion that someone cocked it up, and gave you a duff one from someone else's scooter instead of a new one!!!!

Did they not run the diagnostic tool on the bike after fitting to set all the parameters such as mixture and idle?
Fitting a new ECU to a bike with some existing mileage, therefore wear and tear will never work unless the ECU is adjusted to each bikes individual existing state.
When new this isn't a factor as all engines are built to reasonably identical and tight tolerances, but it doesn't take long for things like throttle bodies and valve clearances, exhaust carbon build up etc to require very slight adjustments to balance out.
On a new bike the ECU will make the adjustments automatically as required but that is done from a known and consistent starting point. A new ECU fitted to a part worn engine doesn't have that fixed starting point to work from. It may well adjust in time but it will always be slightly off perfect.

I did 50 miles today after having the new ECU fitted, and it only stalled the once so I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt........
The dealer is over 40 miles away so I can't just pop up there

If it happens again it will be going back to the dealers very quickly!

well dropped it off earlier this morning, and just got it back. rode some 10 miles, and no stalling at slow speed.......for now.
bike feels pretty the same otherwise.
6 sh300's were in there (chiswick honda) today for the same thing.
i did bring my service book in case (not sure) if anything had to be written and stamped, but was told that its not needed as its on honda's world wide database or something like that now.

My dealer signed and stamped the letter to say the ECU had been replaced
