Only the prices for the BMWs have come out and I don't think anyone is really going to be interested in the Tmax anymore.

Are you sure thats a real price?? And not just a repeat of MCN's speculation? Remarkably the same prices as was forecast?????
There are still NO prices for the scoots on BMW's website, so I suspect that the Telegraph is just rehashing previously published info

Could possibly be the case but Kevin Ash and The Telegraph are both reputable sources.

Well if I'm proved wrong I'll eat a chicken and mushroom pot noodle.

But not always reliable. They've got them the wrong way round, in the pic. The sport is on the right. :ugeek:

And the top speed is 108mph not 115mph.

If he has the price correct then that sounds ok to me.

How many fully faired motorbikes can you get for that money (including luggage such as panniers & abs)?

Edit:

Looks like it will be a toss up between the bmw 650gt and a blinged up Honda NC700x for me when I come to replace the Xevo.

My thinking too! I rang the Loco BMW outlet today to check if the Scoots were in for the Saturday the 4th open day:::NO. :(
Scoots will be avaiable from the 24th of March and test rides from the 27th. I also asked about the price of said scoots,,,
No info available as yet he told me...
Thing is, you will get a lot of NC700 for the price of the scoot...the full monty in fact...

Lyn.

I'd want the dct version and luggage and wind deflectors etc for it though which would even up the price. Shame I can't afford either for the foreseeable future anyway....

Having checked with Honda UK today i was informed you cannot ride a bike with dct on a auto licence! So that rules out integra and vfr.just a heads up. Looks like new bmw for me!

Is that Honda saying that, or the DVLA?

Just i thought in another thread, someone muttered about the clutch as the defining thing about auto / gear classification:
http://www.maxi-muppets.co.uk/forum/vie ... ch#p133831
So what does teh DCT count as?
Bit of a balls-up if Honda are intending to sell DCT motorcycles to scooter-riders, with incentive of being an easy upgrade, yet they cant ride them...

The average dealer in this country knows sod all about autos and scoots. If it isn't a crotch-rocket, they don't care.

Unfortunately, for the majority of riders in this country dealer and customer attitudes are well-matched.

In contrast, those on this forum could be considered as either exceptionally well-informed...or weirdos.

I know which I am.
