Mrs Buff has passed motorbike theory

Post by buff »

Mrs Buff passed her theory test yesterday. :D

Although she'd like a geared licence under her belt, I think she will go for auto.
I have spoken to Streetbike in Halesowen where she did CBT and they said as her S-Wing can do 60mph she can do it on that.

I know some will think go straight for geared, but I think she feels there will be more chance of passing on an auto. She's still having nightmares about the Vespa PX on Bassett's Pole A38 and a Tesco lorry.

Congrats Mrs Buff!

The S-wing has plenty of oomph for the test.

I did breathe a sigh of relief at that one. I probably wouldn't have done check as you are a fellow muppet. I did get my fingers burnt recently. I bought the Satelis from a private seller in Wakefield and paid for the HPI check £19.99. It came up OK, just that seller had changed reg. He had a private reg which he had already moved to his car.

The flip side of this is that the following week I bought the Vespa LX 50 (now sold) for my son from a work colleague who I see on a daily basis. Unfortunately, I took him at his word that finance was clear. After nearly a month the new log book didn't arrive. Chummy from work assured me he had sent it off. I started to smell a rat, so I did a HPI check at this point.

Suprise, suprise - finance still outstanding. After a few strong words with him he got it sorted. Good job for him, because he would of felt the wrath of Mrs Buff and believe me he wouldn't want that. :o

After a week a did another HPI check and it was now clear.

The whole saga left a bad taste about the scoot and along we us changing our minds about son riding we sold scoot.

Well done Mrs Buff. I do not envy anyone that now has to negotiate getting a full motorcycle scooter license. When I passed my test In 1973 it was so straight forward, the examiner just stood at the side of the road and watched you...... and you did an emergency stop when he raised his hand down a side street, with a couple of highway code questions thrown in after the stop. :)
