Hi all you bikers out there. Have just joined this brilliant site . Am desperately waiting for 1st March when take ownership of a new Burgman 400. My Bandit 1250 was traded in part-ex at Crescent, Verwood (a really good place to do business-and very fair people). Live here in Dorset where there are 'millions' of bikers it seems! Any tips on how to adjust to 'twist and go' scoots when coming from the Bandit please? I believe the MPG will be much better on the 400, and that is one of the main priorities for changing wheels.
Are there any Burgman groups/clubs in Dorset that I can get involved with?
Hope to meet up with you on the road. Happy biking.
BabyBoomer
Welcome aboard chap...
I went from bike to scoot with no problems.
It was the armchair motorcycling that I'd always dreamed of.
Would never have another "bike" again.
Cheers
Hello and welcome. The transition from bike to scooter I found was a breeze, as you do not have to concentrate on the clutch and gears, you have more time to think what to do and it's a very relaxing experience.
Thank you guys for the great welcome and info on riding scoots. There's still a lot of salt and farmers' mud on the roads around here-well it is a rural area after all. When are most of you getting out biking or are you out already?
Hiya Babyboomer,No probs going from a m/cycle to a scoot in my opinion, the hand controls are the same as a push bike,& the main thing is your front brake is in the same place, its an easy transition for sure.
