hmmm yes. Probably because he merely hit the road rather than anything like a telegraph pole or a tree. But did he just not see the car turning?

The video looks a bit 'iffy'... the bike on the far right is almost stopped when the 'impact' happens so he might have ended up in the trailer, not catapulted 50 yards down the road after what looked like a impossibly rapid acceleration and explosion of debris.

Why did the camera bike which was overtaking the other fall over and only slide a couple of yards if it was going (supposedly) faster than the crashed bike? All a bit too Special Effects (without the proper physics) for me.

I just assumed the camera bike had not taken account of the bike in front and on the inside which would have pulled into the path of the camera bike to go around the car & trailer. Seemed like a lot of debris for what seems like a lowish speed impact ?

I think, the bike with the camera on board is slowing down as is the bike on the inside [drive on the right] and the bike that comes up between the 2 is probably head down and full on trying to catch up with his mates. he was not even thinking about any car turning, he was just going for it......the wreckage of the smashed bike ricochets off the trailer and hits the camera bike , resulting in that bike going down..
