Popped in to my Honda dealers on Monday before I knew this model was being released and I mentioned a PCX 300-350cc would be good? The Sales Manager replied ''Yes, I think they are bringing one out called the F......, I can not remember the name but I'm not getting excited over a scooter!''

This is probably why I have not bought a Honda Scooter from my dealer as they seem only to be interested in crotch rocket customers. Shame. My local Piaggio Group dealer is a small long established family run business and they love talking scooters all day, X10 looks a better deal in all departments anyway.

The Honda price has yet to be announced, but it's expected to be cheap, possibly a fair bit less than the X10...?
I am in the opposite position regarding dealer support, the nearest Piaggio dealer is fifty miles away in the wrong direction but there's a Honda dealer in town beside my work.
The Honda dealer is happy to talk and sell scooters and sells lots of them.

Well, given that its smaller with a lot less power and engine capacity, it'd better be a whole lot less than the X10 or they won't sell any! The snag with the £4400 possible price that was mentioned is that its too close to the Bev Sport Touring / X10 which offer a lot more for not much more.

The £4400 came from the announcement that it will be between €5000 and €5500 in France which is £4000 - £4400.
Not sure that the Bev ST offers anything more apart from speed.
Given that the Forza will easily exceed the speed limit, it isn't really a major problem.
The Bev ST has nowhere near the same amount of underseat storage.
Horses for courses, but let's just wait and see what the sales figures look like after a year ;)
My prediction is that in the UK the Forza will outsell the X10, Bev ST, Sym Joymax and Kymco Downtown combined.

Well yes.....exactly! 35% more grunt. Since the 33bhp Bev is £4300 and the X10 with same engine with huge amounts of everything for £5000, this Honda has to be below £4k before it makes the slightest sense. We shall see where Honda pitch it, but they aren't noted for bargain prices in the UK.

It actually has rather a lot. Enough for a helmet and a jacket and gloves or even a full face and a demi jet. It also as Mr Grumpy says has lots of extra power and traction control which works beautifully.

Higher power makes no odds to me, the Forza has enough.
What is more important to me are ergonomics.
The Bev is reportedly cramped and uncomfortable for people of my stature and absolutely nowhere near enough underseat space for helmet (XL FF), jacket, breeks and gloves.
The Forza appears to potentially be a comfier machine, better seat and easily changed bar position.
Regarding price, the PCX when launched was a total bargain as is the NC700S.
No reason why the Forza shouldn't be too.
The Forza is competing with the Sym and Kymco maxis, both of which are circa £4000.
Also worth bearing in mind that even if the Forza is £4400 it will be roughly the same price as the (20bhp) Yamaha Xmax 250.
Chacun a son gout ;)

As gn is saying, not everything revolves around total engine power output. Although it can be important for some, it's not the primary factor for many. The Forza will have more than enough to compete and I suspect will be a nice torquey motor. No doubt Honda has sacrificed some total engine hp for more torque lower down and across the rev range. This should make it an absolute joy to ride. If Honda are sensible they'll pitch it around the £4200 mark. Honda always carries a premium, it's a premium product.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Isn't it nice to see the number of realistic choices in the middle ground expanding?

For the last couple of years it's been looking a bit bleak.
