I know a couple of people who have, and they both reckon that they are easily worth the money. They are not £200 quality jackets sold cheap though, just good for £60 which doesn't usually get you anything decent.

A guy at work bought one for his 50cc Scooter.
He is really happy with it and says it is really warm.
It looked like pretty good quality for the price :D

I bought a jacket last year from aldi. It's not as durable as quality products and i recently ditched it after buying a new jacket. It's waterproof and the armour needs changing as it's flimsy. The pockets are not waterproof though, and it's inner jacket was just a vest with no arms, so i ended up wearing layer on top of layer in the winter months to keep warm. I can't recall how much i paid for it but i don't think it was £60, so maybe you're comparing to a different, maybe more winter proof version?

By the way, if you're thinking of spending that much, you might want to check out for other deals. Ebay has good discounts on quality products from time to time. Got to be patient for the right size though...

That's a possibility. It may not be the same jacket as they have sold before. Different every time as they are a dumping ground clearance of customer returns, seconds and general rejects from the homeland European markets.
The jackets I referred to were hi viz yellow winter ones with removable liners and they seemed to be serviceable with minor blemishes only.

£60 for a jacket is cheap, but not that cheap. A good trudge round this interwebby thing (eg M&P, Busters etc - let alone fleabay) might reveal some good bargains. I'd be more inclined to look for some end of line / last year's models from established makers. Last year I bought a fantastically warm and waterproof fully CE armoured Weise jacket (with proper back protector, and made from proper abrasion resistant Cordura, not cheap nylon) for £100 - reduced from £200.
