Faffing around
On Sunday I did my first longish trip on the Majesty, 200 miles from Doncaster to Scarborough, up to Whitby then back to Scarborough. Bacon buttie and a coffee, then took the scenic route home, all before 09:30. When I got home I was ok but had a bit of numb bum syndrome so I ordered a bead seat off 'tinternet, then faffed with the handlebars, I managed to move them an inch or so forward which has freed up the riding position a bit. then I got busy with the ACF 50! Just got to wait for warmer weather so I can fit the Laminar lip I got for Christmas....................I may be waiting a while. I filled her up this morning and worked out the MPG at 68, as I am 20 stone and I don't hang around I reckon that's fantastic.

Sounds like you had fun, I had a 250cc Maj and I must say that it is still the most comfy seat I have had. As you said though handlebar placement make a lot of difference, any pics?

Re: Faffing around
No pics, sorry. You'd hardly be able to notice as the movement was minimal. It certainly feels roomier though! Shame I can't move the seat any further back, it's at its max! Her indoors tells me my bead seat pad has arrived today, good service from Danmedica south ltd. as I only ordered it on Monday ( bank holiday ) Not sure when I will have time to fit it but I will report back on its usefulness.

Re: Faffing around
I always have done the early morning rides. A couple of years ago I did 240 miles on my BMW R1150R and was home by 09:15
You can't beat early mornings, hardly anyone on the roads, nice and cool in summer and no queues at the 'Tea pot' cafe on Scarborough front!

Re: Faffing around
Bead seat on, seat feels a bit harder and higher, maybe 1/2 an inch or so. I expected it to be slippery but it wasn't. Took a 90 mile trip, mixed roads including motorways and after a couple of hours still no numb bum so something is working! I will reserve full judgement when I've done a four hour trip but so far thumbs up for the beads. I am very impressed how the Majesty keeps a steady 70-80 mph on the motorway.

Re: Faffing around
I've had my Majesty 400 for a year now, ride it to work each morning. I love my Maj. I was saving up for a Tmax at the time, but due to finances and a good deal arising, I grabbed the Maj. I fitted the heated grips (Yamaha ones, from Webike Japan.com). Also got the adjustable Givi screen for it. Good scoot.

Which Givi do you have and how does it compare to stock? I have a Laminar Lip but not had sufficient hot weather to fit it!
