When I bought my scoot it has only the one key so it's time I did something about getting a spare.
Our local key cutter has a blank that fits but the 'shoulders' would need to be cut down so that the key can be pushed in to pop the seat etc.
I was going to go with this but then wondered if the original Suzuki key has any electronic gubbins in it.
I don't tend to use the magnetic keyhole cover thingy so, even though it would be nice to have, I'm not too worried about this feature.
So, my question is - can anyone recommend a non-Suzuki solution to getting a spare key, please?
Many thanks,
Chris.

No idea if this wouldn't need cutting down, purports to be a Suzuki compatible key blank?

I have read of people cutting the shoulders down but it depends whether you have a chipped key. I suspect the early ones dont so why not order in this key and get it cut - you can even configure the magnets to make the shutter work. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-Burgma ... 2c6d0d53a5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the replies, Gents.
A local dealer (Picolo Moto) has recommended a key specialist fella in Chelmsford so I'll give him a ring, when I get a minute.
I'll let you know how it goes (but it might take a while......).
Poldark: Any chance of a high-res copy of your avatar photo, please?!!
Regards,
Chris.
