Re: European road trip
We needed to buy the vignettes as we were going to use the motorways. Bought them at the border. We were charged €40 and were given 6 Swiss Francs change so they cost about €35/£32. The border guard told us Burgman riders to stick them under our seats but we both, ahem, missed and accidently droped them in with our luggage.alp231 wrote:Did you buy Swiss road tax on line before you went or while you were out there planning a trip for September at the moment

Funny thing happened to us in Switzerland. I forget where we were but I searched for a hotel on my TomTom and it directed us to the Lumina hotel. My mate went in to see if they had any rooms and the burly bloke behind reception looked at him like he was a complete idiot and said "Yes, we have plenty of rooms and they all have a girl in each one of them". It was then he noticed the collection of porn and condoms on the counter and realised he was in a brothel!

Didn't really like Switzerland - some nice mountain roads and scenery but overpriced, dated hotels and the car drivers are bastards

Paddle harder. I can hear banjo music!
