Ooh!!! That reminds me of something.....I know, the Tmax mks 1-3 (and BMWs)!gn2 wrote:But they're not external and are bathed in oil, don't transmit huge horsepower, have tensioners to keep them permanently in correct adjustment and the distance(s) between the cogs remains constant.ridinhigh wrote:even some new cars have reverted back to chain for camshafts
I am with the TMax but think of others..

Yeah, except that the BMW apparently needs that chain replaced at 24,000 miles? Really? They're having a laugh...

Parked next to a nice matt black/ gun metal T-max 530 in Manchester today.
Looked very Batman (in a good way). I don't actually need the extra horses and couldn't get away without a top box any more, but it was very tasty.........I came over all Horobags for a minute or to, had to have a lie down and a gipsy cream until the temptation died down. Good job there was no Yamaha dealers on the way home

They do have that brutally handsome look (even if the headlights never quite look right)Bluebottle wrote:Parked next to a nice matt black/ gun metal T-max 530 in Manchester today.

Its slightly odd that they made the mk4 look butcher than the mk3, but in every other way softened it off. Different design teams working to different agendas?
