Eicma 2013

Post by Sgt Ernie Bilko »

Well the Milan Show is nearly here. I wonder what Piaggio are gonna pull outta the hat this year?

Kawasaki has the Kymco 300 hybrid, Suzuki have revamped the 125/200 Burgy range but Pontedera are remaining characteristically tight lipped.

Surely they can't rely on the current (tired) range?

I wonder if BMW will show their new range of smaller scooters that they have dropped several heavy hints about?

It will also be interesting to see what Honda show- there have been all sorts of rumours and speculations about new models. It will also be interesting see what (if any) changes they've made to the N700/Integra range apart from becoming 750s

I'm not expecting mythical beasts like the 750 Tmax or Ducati scooter to appear, this year anyway!

Now thats a good guessing game. It'll probably have a C designation (No, not K for Kymco, you cynics), but of course, what number follows it is anyone's guess. Theoretically, it should be the engine size, though BMW have shown a low regard for accuracy in this respect recently!!

Given their often confusing numbering I reckon it'll be a 300cc scoot but termed the C650C, the C being for commute!

Or do their mad trick having two scoots with the same engine but with different numbers eg C300C for a commuter version and a C350S for a sporty version!
