mana service

Post by StevenM »

Thinking of doing a service on the mana and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any UFI oil and air filters that work on the mana as I can get these cheap from work. I think I know the plugs but dont know about the filters.
Thanks

I'm sure you already have it but have a pdf version of the Mana service manual if you need it. PM if you do..

Hi stevenm oil filter here £9.59 delivered http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aprilia-Mana- ... 1e8826eaae" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
if you have not got the removal tool then its the same HF565 filter + tool , you just need a 3/8 th spanner to turn the tool £14.95 delivered
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OIL-FILTER-RE ... 1c3827bda9" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

regarding engine oil the manual states AGIP RACING 4T 5W-40 Use top-branded oils that meet or exceed the
requirements of CCMC G-4 specifications. so i would go for the halfords 5w 40 as its £10 better price here
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... 65507#tab1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

air filter here but last one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-April ... 3f071799fb" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and its about time you changed to brisk silver elecrode LGS spark plugs will last 15+ thousand miles and will put a huge grin on ya fosh, better deceleration/acceloration and never misses a beat :D you pay £9.99 per plug and only pay £3.99 delivery i have checked your plugs and this is the link here
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AOR14LGS-Bris ... 53e929ad12" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

hope this helps 8-)

The thing is Michael, I should have put in the description I can get the oil for £16.13, plugs for £3.89 each and the filter for £2.19 are they all ok to use for my bike. It's the oil and filter I'm unsure about. Will it f##k my bike up if I don't use oem filter and if I use 10w-40 instead of 5w-40.

the oil will be fine, as its fully synthetic, as long as you maintain say a 3600 mile oil change, the filter should only need changing every other oil change, and the plugs match up so they are fine, gap of 0,7 to 0,8 but i cant cross reference the oil filter sorry :D

ok found the oil filter on an aprilia forum the one you mention is slightly larger text below and link:
UFI part No: 23.118.00. They also make a bigger/longer filter that fits (P/N 23.287.00) which I use myself (tip from Pete Roper). The latter is intended for some Moto Guzzis and others but works fine the Mana too and should last longer since it has more filter material than the OEM/OEM equivalent filter.

Only downside it that UFI filters are white with blue printing which may not be optimal esthetically on all bikes but some silver spray paint took care of that on mine.
