Hartside Cafe.

Post by roygib »

Sunday had a ride out to the Hartside cafe, the route i took going was Cartmel,Newby Bridge onto the A592,Bowness,Windermere,Troutbeck,Kirkstone Pass,Patterdale,Glenridding (Ulswater) Penrith onto the A686 which takes you to Hartside summit and the cafe, which is 624 feet above sea level, the views are great.Very busy cafe with bikers and cyclists. After a mug of tea i made the return journey home along the A686 to Penrith, onto the A6 to Kendal,A590 to Grange-over-sands,much quicker.Going through Bowness i've never seen it so busy, never got above 30mph on the way to Penrith due to volume of traffic on the Lakes narrow roads.I did take some picture but only to are any good.

I had to go past the place on sunday in the car around 13:00 and then again about 16:30 /17:00, tospot born agains/tiny cock brigade were out in force cuting us up left right n centre nearly clipping the car doing dangerous overtakes, I was hoping for one to have a prang infront of us, wait for the plod to turn up and let them have a copy of the camera footage, but alas, it never happened.
I tend not to go over there or Alston when it's sunny tbh, too much of a compensation for their inadequacies fest for my liking, tis fun keeping up with them between Bishop and Alston though just to see the miserable gits faces when they ponce about in sqweeky leathers trying to look superior with a keg of alcohol under their jackets

TALLY HO!
