Where to buy drive belt.

Post by Red Dog »

Hi guys. I want to fit some 18g Dr Pulley sliders to my 2009 Bergman 400. I might as well change the drive belt at the same time so I would like some advice on where to buy these items please.

TIA

26 x 13 dr pulley at 17 gms (standard rollers 19 gms) are about £55 delivered from germany dr pulley shop
I personally would get 17.5 gm standard rollers at £13.13p delivered ebay item number 360994560162
Then use the dosh for a gates or dayco belt ebay item number 302020057754
Rather than a suzi belt at £200
Or have a ganders yourself as this took me 5 mins on my phone (2 of those typo corecting) meldreesque style
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

Most Oem belts are made by Mitsobushi it's worth looking at Italian ebay sellers on there sell them in a Mitsobushi packet rather than suzuki packet .Even suzuki branded belt will have the Mitsobushi logo on.Takes a bit of searching but you will save even with extra postage .

Thanks. I did have a look on eBay but wasn't sure about the quality of the non oem stuff.

I found it difficult to decide which weight sliders to go for but I read a good review by a member called Data (I can't find it again) who sounded pretty savvy. He fitted 18g ones and seemed pleased with the results. I don't suppose 17.5g will be noticeably different.

Ah, I confused myself. The 17.5g are STANDARD rollers. I didn't notice that at first.

YES thete the standard ones yet lighter so will give you higjer revs on the initial 0 to 30 and get that clutch grabbing
Only mentioned as its an alternative to shelling out nealy £60 for dr pulleys at 18 gms
But the dr pulleys will do the same yet settle the revs at hogher speeds. Where as lower stock roller weights might increase revs by 300 rpm throughout the indicated speed range
Depends what you are trying to achieve
