AN400Z service costs

Post by PhilD »

Could I please ask other owners what I should expect for service costs for my Burgman 400?
I realise costs will vary by geographical area, and how much they want your business, but some idea would be appreciated.

My local dealer charged me a special price of £90 for the 1000 mile service, (quotes may be required), and it would now be due it's 12 month service having done around 2600 miles.
From what I can see from a K7 service manual that consists of an oil change and check the nuts and bolts. (Visual check overall).
At the moment, I'm only concerned about keeping it in warranty, but that may change ..... ;)

My machine is now 4.5 years old so cost have gone up bit. But I paid £50 for my first 600 mile service, £90 for my second service at 4000 miles. And all my other servicing has been done by me for peanuts using genuine Suzuki parts from my dealer. The Burgman 400 is so simple to look after that it's fun to do. Just get a manual first though to make sure you remove panels the right way so you don't break anything. Don't forget the transmission air filter needs to be washed and cleaned every 1800 miles. Some dealers overlook this.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...
