NO not the Adonis gods on film but the engine size.
Am I right in thinking the joymax 300 is older version than the cruisym 300.
Like for like comparisons Cruisym is 1kw less in power, 10mm lower in seat height 15mm longer,20mm shorter.descibed as liquid cooled (I assume oil radiator) whereas other water cooled. Cruisym seat appears one piece
I'm liking the joymax pillion rest and mirrior indicators (hate the name sounds like a lady toy)
Trying to find a dealer with one in stock down south tough one with both impossible.
I'd like to know difference in under seat storage If any and can seats pillion rest be swapped over between models.
Loving the 5 year warranty and HP deals with sensible annual mileage.
Going for a bimble tomorrow to local sym dealers to ask questions.
I know most folk stated they would wait for new Forza 300 but extra 3 year warranty and as most know after 5 years most scooter prices have bottomed despite brand

Re: Sym 300s
I have had my Cruisym300 a couple of months now, and I love it. I still have my Silverwing 600, but choose the Sym. I think Moto GB are the main importers. I have one dealer in Bolton and another in Rochdale. The Bolton dealer had both the Cruisym 300 and the Joymax 300. I preferred the riding position with the extra leg length on the cruisym also I did not like the indicators on the mirrors on the Joymax. I think they have the same engine. Anyone that has owned a Silverwing will feel right at home, with the larger screen and the handling of the Cruisym without the weight of the Silverwing. There is so much room under the seat that I do not need a top box ( I have a topbox on the Silverwing). There is a twelve volt socket and a usb port. I am just short of 3800 KM on the Sym. I average 90 mpg. and it will touch 80mph. The five year warranty doesn't bother me. I do my own servicing. At 1000km I changed the engine oil (1Ltre) and final drive oil. Only drawbacks, mileage in Km( speedo does show MPH) and twenty four hour clock. I could not get a test ride before buying and that bothered me , but, from the start I was right at home. For me the Cruisym 300 ticks all the boxes. As a note, the dealer wanted £125 and up to three weeks notice before they could do the first service, it cost me about £15 for oil.

Re: Sym 300s
Well I own a 2016 SYM Joymax 300i Sport - Only difference is short screen, blue colour and a 'sport' seat (no hump/rider backrest).
The cruisym and current Joymax share the same motor. However, pre euro 4 Joymaxs have the more powerful euro 3 motor. The wheels, brakes,
engine, wheelbase, exhaust, tank are the same. The cruisym has the same 'sport' seat as fitted to my/the sport version Joymax.
It looks like the Cruisym doesn't have stop start nor foglights as fitted to the Joymax 300. Looking at photo's online the storage under seat looks
about the same. Though it appears there's a small storage box for the toolkit that could slightly impede on space. Obviously styling is different as is the dash. The Cruisym having a more digital one other the Joymax. The Cruisym is marginally bigger and a bit heavier.
Personally I find my Joymax more than enough though I would still go for a Joymax over the cruisym purely on the fact the cruisym has gained some wieght and physical size over the Joymax though performance wise offering the same engine, grip, brakes, range/mpg etc.

Re: Sym 300s
Harvey, check with Kegra Southend if you want to see one in the flesh as they had a couple in several months ago when I was searching. Test ride is another matter as they didn't want to let me out on one.
If I wasn't already doing other things tomorrow I would have come out for a bimble with you.

Re: Sym 300s
Cheers Roger,
If you fancy a trip Kegra way Thursday I'm in Rayleigh from 5pm onward for a meeting so could go earlier?
fitted a trip in to SilverX engineering in Braintree (nearest listed Sym dealer) between DIY store visits (Don't ask but I've a rotten sash window to repair and tired of trades giving me quotes longer than their mobile number)
Anyhow back on track Steve (owner) was very positive about Moto GB praising their technical department no end. Very honest in that he doesn't carry stock or demos due to cost and size of the business and folk often carry out their test ride then bugger off for a better deal with a larger outfit like P&H motorcycles.
Anyhow he had the rep's joymax 300 for a short business test ride/loaner and rated it (though to be fair he is a Harley man).
So whilst my Harley in for work next Tuesday we'll chat figures about a cruisym.
Buying blind (not first time) and don't know if discount for group purchase if others interested, but again honest enough to say maxi scooters don't sell for him so doesn't take them PX

Re: Sym 300s
Sorry Harvey but day at the zoo for me on Thursday, followed by evening meal with my brother. Interesting comments from Silver X and guy does sound honest. If I still have the Maxsym when the drive belt is due for replacement I may ask them for a quote.
