...I wonder if other new members have been having the same problem as me. It has taken me several attempts since mid December to register on the site. Maybe there was a forum upgrade around then? Just speculating!

There was an issue with spammers so very likely something to do with firewalls.

Fixed it - It was set to 10 posts before you saw the forum. Set to 1 for the time being. @Funkycowie
