For anyone contemplating taking their Scoot to Europe for a holiday, here is a write - up about our recent trip. I hope by posting a link to my own hobby site, I'm not infringing the rules.

We have been travelling to these areas for many years now - originally by GoldWing and now by 350 Forza. For as long as we can remember, we have had to pay a Kurtax or tourist tax of about 3 Euros per person, per night - no big deal and certainly has never put us off. It goes directly to the very local economy and often gives benefits like reduced admission charges and some free public transport.
Britain seems to be suggesting following the same procedure except they will be charging a PERCENTAGE - another money grabbing scheme - they don't miss a trick do they?

Loved the write up on the Romantische strabe as we are doing it in April/May, sadly in our campervan though, not on one of the bikes !
Also liked your website and read the write up on the Forza....
Yes a salutary tale of not giving your part ex to the garage before picking up your new machine...!

Glad you liked the account of our trip and the Forza story - I never imagined I would enjoy Maxi Scooters so much after all those years of 'Winging. I see that you opted for the ADV - did you ever ride a Forza to gain a comparison? With nothing to prove at my age, I don't mind being ignored by GS riders! If you haven't been to that part of Bavaria before feel free to ask questions - I might know the answer!
