Benelli velvet 250cc

Hello all, recently bought a Benelli 250cc velvet and I'm enjoying it very much, always had bikes in my life but now at 70 had to give up the big one's but still need to ride, didn't know these velvets were so thin on the ground and trying to find spares is getting nowhere, any way the most urgent job as far as I am aware is the rattling tinny sound that it makes while going along, just can't pin point it, so grateful for any inputs from you people. bye for now and stay safe.

I bought one of these new about 21 years ago. In fact I was stitched up by the importers and dealer because it was not actually new and had had some refurbishment which left it with a number of faults such as a damaged exhaust system which was misaligned to the extent that it soon failed. Someone had also fitted a car type valve to the rear wheel which caused a mysterious loss of tyre pressure until I realized that the long valve stem bent to one side at high speed and the cap hit the brake calliper.

As you probably know the scooter is based on a Yamaha ( Majesty? ) engine and its not inherently a bad machine, it had just been butchered in this case.

I added some extra leg shields to make winter riding more comfortable. Not pretty but effective!

It was written off by a careless driver, who I suspect was using her mobile phone and ran into the back of me while I waited to turn right. I wasn't entirely unhappy because it had given me much grief.
