Oh dear - just got my insurance renewal quote...its doubled over last year!
I'm not totally surprised - given that I had a major (fault) accident leading to the more valuable of my Tmaxs being wriiten off, plus getting a newer scoot (ADV350) AND moving house!
Accidents are expensive things - and that's with a protected NCB!

Re: Insurance....
I assume you tried a new quote with zero NCB?
NCB is a scam, it's usually offset by new business discounts and expectation driven additions. Telling you something costs 79-gazillion then discounting by 99.9% is meaningless. They calculate the end number then make the discounts fit. 2 = 2+1-1 vs 2 = 3+1-2 etc.
You insured the NCB but will now have the premium increased for claiming that protection.
It should make no significant difference but getting them to run different numbers can result in small steps in your favour.
You must tell them about the claim regardless, just act like you lost the NCB.

Re: Insurance....
I have always thought NCB is a scam. I reckon the cost after NCB is the real cost and the non-discounted cost is just a way of making more money.
