So looking at those facts, if I use the 125, I get twice the distance for my money, but because of the smaller tank size I can travel little more between fill ups.
My CB250 has a 14 litre tank and can easy do 300 miles on a tank full which would be be same as my old Pan-Europeans on their 28 litre tanks.
If I'm touring I like to always have at least 100 miles left in the tank, you never know if the next garage is open (many times they have been closed for building works or gone out of business when I arrive).
Actually they see you coming and put up the `closed for refurbishment` signs...

I recently did a fuel check on my Silverwing 600. Starting with fuel visible in the filler neck, full. I took a 2ltre container with fuel in it and ran till i was empty. 221 mls on 16 litres.

At average A-road speeds My GTS does 217-225miles until I hit reserve.
Best I ever got was 230 miles. I always reset my tripometer with each refill.
I always brim it when filling. Usually fill up with 11-11.5 litres with 350-370km
on the tripometer.
My Tonik can only do around 100-110miles before it needs refilling.

Burgman 650. My last bar starts to flash at about 140-145 miles and filling from that point takes about 11-11.5 litres with about 3.5-4 litres (just under a gallon) left, so I think about 190 miles would be my maximum. Just got my best mpg yesterday on a long 150 mile country road run at 58.6, would be nice to get more but it is a big twin.

That's pretty good for a Silver Wing I suspect. You may know this so apologies in advance if you do. Bear in mind it isn't good to run her dry as the fuel pump gets very very hot when you do that and can lead to early failure of the pump. They normally cost a small fortune to replace.

I tend to fill up around 170 to 180 mile after filling up, it will go further though.

Yes I remember on the A12 you could barely make it between petrol stations!
The Sat250 gets about 185miles before the light comes on. Takes just under 10 litres to refill. Holidng my nerve I have stretched it to over 200miles a couple of times.

The GP i could just about manage 200miles whilst having sum fun. think it was a 16ltr tank.
The Matrix, is still to new to work out really, but it only hold around 5ltrs, so should give me around 110miles when it's run in.
