Ooh. 40seconds.

That's not far off F1 pit stop speeds (if you include the pit lane run).
I might still trademark the Drop & Swap name though.

Don't know about cars but that isn't my experience with bikes.
All I got was a free tax disc

and my batteries can easily be paid for with what is saved by having almost no servicing costs.
But I'm not having to BMW prices though

Ok, what about Swap Shop, then. Has that been done? Or -
Cheap Charge?
Top Amps?
Lightning Boost?
Watts Up?

I actually think Elec scoots can make a lot of sense as a commuter scoot (as long as your commute isn't too far), as running & servicing costs are low.
The life of the battery is obviously important, as they are too expensive to replace, but life is often claimed to be several thousand recharge cycles, which is effectively quite a few years of daily commutes.
The big snag is first cost - an elec scoot with good range and top speed is £5-6K+ and you can buy a lot of petrol scoot for that.

Only time will tell how the electric cars and scoots progress.......

Time?
It's been ages since the advent and demise of the elecrtric milk float and look what progress there's been since then.
Electric vehicles are only viable with a remote power supply, think trolleybuses, trams and trains.
