In contrast to this I've had a very good experience with Piaggio UK. When I bought my new Bev 350 recently, the total distance and two trip readouts were in kilometres. I wanted to switch this to miles but the handbook didn't explain how to do it or if it was even possible. The dealer didn't know either.

I assumed being electronic and not mechanical that it was possible, so I fiddled with the mode button that switches the readout between the total and two trip meters, outside temperature and battery voltage but there was no intuitive way I could find to make the change.

I phoned Piaggio UK and within a couple of hours received an email from Customer Services explaining that it was possible and how to do it. Couldn't have had better service.

Unusual as piaggio uk and Italy are normally absolutely fucking useless.

Not my experience with them. They have been very helpful when sorting out a sadle opening problem.

like with any organisation, some people will have bad experiences with them. I always give most company's a chance to put their mistakes right before I totally give up on them.

Ok, lets be clear about what we're talking about here.
I assume you're NOT talking about a blue coloured dashboard to replace the existing one, but "Blue Dash Technology" and how it works with the
Piaggio Multimedia Platform??? (or am I barking up the wrong blue tree :roll: ). If I'm correct, look at
<http://www.multimediaplatform.piaggio.c ... nziona.htm>
(I just googled, Blue dash unit piaggio X10, then clicked on the Facebook link for Blue Dash).
Hope this helps......

I wouldn't read too much into the bit about installation by specially trained technicians because Piaggio have never had any of those!! CT came close but more to do with his own ability and aptitude than due to Piaggio.
All plug in points will exist and be of a type that cannot be mistaken, as they always have provided a fairly easy way of adding accessories on all previous models.
The workshop manual is available on Ebay and should have the info you need to find the relevant plugs.
My guess is that somewhere behind the dashboard is a multi plug and a place to mount the BT box in the same way there was a plug for the factory alarm system on older models. Does what is in the kit you bought not give you a clue? Is there no form of instructions at all?

Was the shop from whom you bought the dash a Piaggio Agent?

Annoying that you need to have a CrApple phone/ipod though. Why didn't they make it universal :roll:
