i find its a lot to do with age ,any time is not good for a ride unless weathers ok

Aah! I see. MInd you, I'm no spring chicken. I've been riding for nearly 44 years and got my full motorcycle license when I was 16. Work that one out. But I know where you are coming from. It's personal preference too I guess. But I would just say I've had some of the best rides of my life in the coldest, windest wettest of foul weather. I find it exciting in a weird sort of way! Work that one out if you can...

If i worked it out correctly, then i can add 11 years to your total, and i als passed my test when i was 16 to.and have had a whole lot of bikes from my first a 1946 BSA 350 b31
rigid back end thru my last big bike a Harley Sportster then to a few scooters to my present ones a gilera ice 50,and my Gts 300

Like Data, i enjoy a ride in all weathers, if you have the right clothing on no problem. I have been riding all winter. Like Data, i can arrive home after riding in a thunderstorm and say i really enjoyed that. Alright it has been a bit cold this winter, but i have still been out most days apart from when i got snowed in. I do have a car, i just prefer to ride. I don't think age comes into it really, most people i meet on my rides are retired like me. We ride because we have always have

I am retired im 71, i do have a car , and still do not like riding in the rain getting wet never did even when i was riding sport bikes,i also have good riding gear
but no longer enjoy riding in bad weather ,this well might, be my last year on two wheels

One of the men i see often has just bought a new scooter, Burgman 400, he is 83yrs old.
