As a thought, price up the individual items that you think you might need, and see if it comes anywhere near the money for a kit.
If you still get loads more for the same price, buy the kit.
Having just had a good close look at the kit ..... If I didn't have most of that stuff already, I give my right wheelnut for a set like that. You could build anything, though you would also need a toolbox on wheels cos' of the weight of it!

Before you part with your cash, check out Screwfix. I was astounded at how cheap some of their tools are!

Spanner set - Screwfix 1

3/8" socket set - Screwfix 2

Hex sockets - Screwfix 3

All three for about £45.

Thanks for the input. It was my birthday last week so I have some cash to spend, couldn't justify a kit like this otherwise!

Speaking personally, I wouldn't buy cheap tools. As a photographer I had to take photos of an accident involving a brand new cheap spanner shattering under strain when trying to undo a stubborn nut. The spanner when analysed had casting slag in the spanner head which shattered and took out the user's eye. OK, safety glasses should be worn, but how many of us don't??
That made me buy only good tools from a well known manufacturer from there on ...

Go for the kit if you really want it ... I would!

Their guarantee now doesnt cover rachets.
I use the 1/4" and 3/8" rachet sets the most and so far they are still in good order.
