My worry al is what is it going to do when the summer eventually arrives ?

Hi Alun-Can you tell me how you took a live feed from the fusebox ??? I would like to fit a cigar type fitting to power my Sat Nav. But do not want to go all the way back to the battery.
Would be interested to know how you did this. Have took the two screws that hold the fuse holder in place, but can not see how I could connect a feed.
Mind you electrics are not my best skill

You're lucky my fuse box is rattling around in the 'glove box' . I just popped a scotchloc on the wire in the pic . I don't like using them but it is nice and dry and protected there so hopefully ok

looks like you tapped into the red and black so should be doo able

I put it on the fused side and ran an earth throuc

Through to the back along with a wire from the horn so I could power a relay for the nautilus horn. Problem with the horn was it didn't have enough power to run. Took it off and put a chrome one on instead will use the nautilus on the tdm.
