Fair point. In my defence I did post that after a few glasses of red.
I suppose riding every day my maintenance is an ongoing series of small checks, fixes, top ups and changes.
If you don't do anything but fill the fuel tank between services a lot can go wrong.

Dexter, no need to defend yourself. You are saying it like you see it. And many people see it that way also. But spending a day in a dealership service dept often completely alters opinions when you see some of the stuff that gets discovered and fixed. You can see why you pays your money and where it goes! Anyhoo, it sounds as if you are doing all the right things with your bike and the checks you do. Ongoing checks are always good. 

Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

One important thing to do is to clean your bike, you will spot problems, ie. loose bolts and bits that have broken.
