The number or different scooters and bikes i contemplated is mind boggling, burgman 400 was just a pot luck that happened to be a good deal... In the past few months i've been thinking about :

Nexus 500 (very briefly)

So as you can see, i was fearing of losing my mind with all these ideas of different bikes going around, so i'm kind of relieved to have made a decision as it was giving me a headache

Actually it still has Suzuki Warranty until the 22nd January 2013, thats why they say 'we can give you 3 months warranty'.

Oh i didn't realise that, actually it's better that way, at least i can trust that warranty up to a point!

Halfbusa, the 'leak proof wind' I speak of is entirely new. It's thicker than normal wind and once in the tyres is leak proof!! Ask your dealer for this new thicker wind and see what he says!!!

Seriously though, pleased for you. You won't be sorry and you got her for a very good price didn't you. At least you can sleep nights now knowing you have made the decision.

Oh well it's a buyer's market so i played my cards with that in mind.

It came as a very good deal indeed, all i'll pay off my pocket is £2400

They also are going to service it with genuine parts from suzuki to keep the warranty, thats why its delayed to mid week next week while they wait for parts...

So a few more sleepless nights for now, although this time it will be the waiting for it to arrive rather than decisions

I have to say your raving reviews all the time praising it has played a big part in my final decision between the runner up burgman 650 and this.

Oooh...dear! Been told I rave a lot. Been told I'm a raving loony... Seriously though, you will find that compared to your Tmax it's even easier to look after. And the Tmax is not hard either is it. Everything seems to be a doddle on the Burgman. That's a very strong point in it's favour. I've poked my nose in every part of the bike now. I'm even lined up to do a new exhaust valve job on a 2008 model sometime in the next few weeks. The owner didn't check his valve clearances and both exhaust valves had gone tight. I haven't worked on a Burgman like that before so it will be a good experience but it seems to be a simple job and shouldn't take long. And don't worry about any possible clutch judder. But let me know first and I'll give you a tip that will make sure it doesn't come back quickly. Often people deglaze the clutch without doing a proper job. It takes more than just a rub with some emery paper and the drum needs treating too. If done properly you can go at least 8k miles between doing it, which just happens to coincide with the rear final drive oil change so it works out just fine with minimum extra work. Simples!! Careful with your raving, you're not that far away from me, and i might give you a few visits to learn some diy skills if you keep on like this

I know a bit of diy like changing filters and fluids, sparks and brake pads but i'd love to extend my skills to more pro stuff like valve clearances and belt changes. Perhaps i can bribe you with some baked goodies when the time comes. Just ask the forum about my olive bagels!

You highlited the only thing i worry about, would i notice the difference... I hope not as i want to be attached to this one like i did to my burgman 650 . Power isnt everything though, cause i was never that attached to the tmax...

I took a 400 for a spin and touched the centre stand down on the first roundabout !!
Mind you I took the wifes XMax 250 out today and did the same thing, No Im not 20st !!
